Personal Reflection

Let's start from the beginning shall we...
When I was born... just kidding, not that far back. But about four years ago, I started seeing a number over and over again. This number was 11. You may ask yourself, well you're bound to see this number from time to time, because it is part of the number system, and it is in a lot of things, and at first, I too, was just thinking, “Oh, it's just a number,” but for some reason I would consciously see 11 more and more, and for some reason, it would just stand out from the rest. So I began to tell myself, “Oh it's just a coincidence, that I would just happen to look up at the clock, and lo and behold – it's 11:11 or 9:11.” As time went on, I began to see it more and more steadily. And not just in the time, but in other things as well. For instance, a friend was reading something on the computer and I just happened to look down and see what he was reading and there it was. Or, I was watching a football game and the player that was running the play – his jersey was 11, and when I was about to leave to go somewhere, and I was cutting it close, I would see what time it was, and oh look – 8:11 or 10:11. And this is just to name a few instances where I would see 11. So I decided to look it up online; what I found was pretty interesting indeed. And I already knew, with just about anything you look up online, there's a ton of different answers to your questions, all of which with different points of view. But what I was finding out about 11 that stood out the most to me, was that seeing this number a lot meant that something was about to happen. It was like a wake up call, in a way. And here was the zinger moment: as I was researching this, I got excited and called my roommate in to tell what I had found, and Halfway through explaining this, she looked up with a blank stare on her face, and she said, “No way – look!” The clock was at 11:11.
I was like “No way! Did that just happen?”
So I reached for my cell to see what time it was, but it was an hour earlier. Pretty weird, huh? Yeah. I know. After talking for a while about this, and other things, I reached for my phone again to see I had a text, only to see that the time again, was 11:11. I don't think I need to tell you what I was feeling when that happened. Do I?
So this is just the very start of my four year journey, up until now, of the things I have discovered and thought about. It's been a very interesting journey indeed. I will be continuing more of what I've come across in later posts. If anyone comes across this blog, and wants to comment or has any questions, feel free to let me know.

Peace and love to you all.

  1. Wow.....that is pretty odd,yet really cool at the same time. I always joke around and "wish on 11:11" but I have never really payed attention to numbers other than that. But if I were in your shoes I would more than likely freak out and assume it meant something bad or just ignore it,so I think the way your researching it and learning about it is really awesome.

  4. Weird. I notice that I look at the clock at 9:11 frequently. And my birthday is 11/29. This is going to bother me now. But very interesting post.
